India’s most successful franchise film ‘KGF: Chapter-2’ is all set to hit the big screens on July 16, 2021. Tollywood Buzz learnt from reliable sources that the makers of the film getting good offers from distributors across the globe to bag the theatrical rights of the film.

KGF Chapter 2 is one of the costliest and also the most awaited project in Indian cinema. It will release amidst sky-high buzz and the earth-staggering theatrical business suggests the same. The sequel of the film features Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty and Raveena Tandon and others in key roles. The film will be released in almost all main Indian languages.

If reports are to be believed, the makers are demanding Rs 80 cr for overseas Theatrical rights and it is a record price for any Indian movie. Yash starrer ‘KGF-2’ Hindi rights have been sold for a staggering Rs 90 cr while the Telugu rights sold for whopping 60 cr while the makers are still in talks with Tamil distributors for Tamil Theatrical Rights. Coming to the Malayalam rights, the Chapter 2 will be distributed by Prithviraj Sukumaran on Prithviraj Productions in Kerala for an undisclosed price.

According to the latest reports in the trade, popular Tamil cinema production house Dream Warrior Pictures have bagged the TN rights for a whopping price.

Digital giant Amazon Prime acquired the digital rights of the film for a record price of Rs 55 crores including all the languages.

KGF Chapter 2 Satellite Rights

The satellite rights of KGF: Chapter 2 are sold for Rs 120 crores which is huge among South Indian films.
