Akshay is the backbone of this satire. His inner journey as an actor pays dividends and he delivers yet another topnotch performance. The screenplay is peppered with loads of LOL moments balanced correctly with emotional outbursts.

Gayatri is reluctant to go for disposable pads as they are expensive. Lakshmi obsessing over a ‘ladies problem’ makes her cringe but he insists on bringing upon a change by addressing the taboo topic. The film begins in 1936, when India made big impact in world hockey and won its third consecutive gold at the Berlin Olympics. Tapan Das (Akshay Kumar), the team manager, leads the charge to assemble the country’s first all-Indian hockey team. His aim is to beat the Britishers at their own game, on their own turf.
